Lot's of movement Betty. The lace on the skirt really adds to the element of movement.
I'd be very interested to know what you used for their hair, very realistic.

Hi Rhoda--
I used doll hair.

Hi Betty - You've got lots of indications of movement - the skirt and hair being the most obvious but the position of the feet and the man's string tie contribute more movement. The fabric you used for the dance floor also adds a feeling of swirling.

A thought - What if you added a bit of darker thread or used a dark Pigma pen to go around the skin and the the shirts to pop them out a bit more from the background?

Hi Roberta--
I took your advise and outlined the skin. It did blend into the background more than I liked.

Hi Betty,
This is great; good sense of movement and a really fun piece. I really like the use of fabrics that add to the "country" feel as well.

Swing your partner!!! My late sister and her husband were big on square dancing, in fact he still calls periodically. A great job... took me back to happy times.

Hi Betty, this is a fun piece and now I know where your handle - squarequilter - came from!
Perfect use of prints and you really captured the movement aspect.
Good job!

Fantastic use of lace to add to the movement of the skirt. Good fabric choices.
