When I saw the rules last night I thought "This is impossible". When I woke up this morning I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
The trees are thread painted with beads for ice pellets. The snow is batting.
The man out for a walk was fused on and the sleet pelting the walker is the quilting done with silver thread.
It is 10-1/4" x 14-1/4".

Love this! I'm so glad to be inside where it's warm, because that person in the quilt looks soooo cold!
I quite like how the bottom is uneven...like drifted snow. and yes, I think the man looks very cold. I want him to have something to hang onto because he may slip on the ice any minute! (just my imagination running away!)
I am particularly interested in how having the man there, all hunched up, turns this from a "romantic winter scene" into something that causes the viewer to react with the image. well done!

I love the trees - I love how you finished the bottom kind of dropping off. OK for the life of me I can't figure out the bottom edge.
It is cold - the only thing that might have been interesting is to do the side walk in perspective of some sort. Maybe a little thicker at one end to narrower. But it does work as it is.
