Mountain Magic/ Do I know You?

Here is my WIP...
I really have worked HARD on this one. I see one thing in my mind and another emerges in the cloth.
This piece has been through the mill... literally... I made it,... boring... then I added other elements, still not so good. Cut up some of the pieces, getting better... not good yet.
So I painted, I dyed it and added a few more elements, like the stylized flowers and the rabbits.
It has a long way to go yet... but if you can comment at all... good or bad, I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.
Carole

I like it Carole. I think it has the same problem that mine had/has. The fabrics are all the same value so that nothing really pops. Maybe some quilting either with machine or by hand in brighter colors. Maybe quilt some flowers or grass or leaves? I hate to say it, but those look like my darn rabbits that eat everything in sight!

Hi Carole, I like almost everything about this right now, I particularly like the overpainting and stamping. What if....you lost the mountains and cropped this right at the [now] horizon line? I put a paper over this on the monitor and for me, it all came together. I can't wait to see how this evolves.

I agree with Janice after her cropping suggestion. I think because the mountains drew the eye back too far and away from your focal point.

Hi Carole, I like the way this piece is headed. The weaving works very effectively and the rabbits add alot of interest to the piece. I noticed one of the rabbits was very light, are you planning to paint it? Perhaps if you just added some shadow behind the rabbits they would stand out more and give the vocal point more punch. It will be interesting to see how you finish this. I'm not sure cropping it is the right answer.

I don't know what this started out as, but I like where it's heading. For me, I like the hint of a rabbit on the left side, adds some mystery to it.

I like the calm sense this piece has, Carole. I'm not sure I get the rabbit, tho! Try cropping it in the blue area of horizon... I think the mountains just need to be in another piece....

I also would think about cropping the mountains. It's nice as is, but I think it is somehow more dimensional without them. I love your 'ghost' rabbit!
