Gerbera

(No Inuksuk this time) I scanned a real Gerbera daisy, and printed it on fabric in two different sizes. The flowers and leaves and stems are fused, then free-motion embroidered. The daisy centers are also beaded. I didn't use any new techniques, but I really enjoyed making this.

Colors are yellow-orange, red-violet, and blue-green. Size 11 1/2" x 13"

This is a lovely piece, and lot's of texture. What is your triad color scheme? I'm wondering if you had a bit of green?
I really like the beading.

The triad is yellow-orange, red-violet, and blue-green. At least that's what the fabrics looked like holding them next to my elementary color wheel! Thanks for your comments! It was fun to get one done, finally.

Hi Katie, Your daisies are beautiful, and I especially like the way you quilted them to bring texture to them. The dark purple background sets them off well, and I like that you cropped one, it adds more interest. Nice use of beads too.
