Tutti Fruitti

15.5" X 17"

I cut off a piece of freezer paper and using a compass started to draw a variety of circles until the space was filled. It's all fused and outlined using premade bias tape. All the fabrics are hand dyed.

Piece was enveloped before stitching (quilting) the bias (lead for stained glass look).

Thanks Wendy for a fun challenge that has produced a great variety of quilts. Comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks,
Pam

Pam, I'm so excited about the variety of quilts portrayed in the challenge. This is very fun and bright. Great movement with the variety of sizes of circles and nice containment with the black border. I'm glad you were brave enough to take on circles! Well done.....

Pam, what an interesting piece. Many sizes of circles and colors make it a real eye catcher. Good job!

What a wonderfully bright piece. Lots of movement caused by the varying size and placement of circles. The black outline really adds to it. What will you use it for? I think it would make a wonderful table center piece if not too big or small.

I really like that this piece uses an irregular border. It reminds me of a stained glass window or a painters pallette. My eye moves throughout the piece very easily and I think it is the use of the black which makes this happen. It is nicely balanced.

This is a great piece with lots of movement, and I *love* the bright colors you have used. How did you finish the edge?

This looks so much like stained glass. What if you added a few flat round crystals in the smaller circles to reflect light and heighten the illusion of glass?
Wonderful piece

I also thought of stained glass when I saw this. I can only repeat what everyone has already said. Love the shape, the black edge and all those brilliantly colored circles!

Very vibrant. Has this been quilted. More quilting in the circles might be interesting. Either little circles or concentric circles. It reminds me of Amish quilts.

I really like the saturadted colors. I must be in the Christmas spirit because it reminds me of a Christmas Tree skirt. The small dark circle near the center really draws your eye in.

Hi Pam, very cool piece. With all that pure saturated color, you've thrown in the black and a few shades to balance it...great job
