The Waiting Bride

This piece is a painted composite done in Photoshop. I used white mist to convey the illusion of a bride waiting for her groom, but is she there now or is she a ghost? You decide.

Lovely Susan, I think she is really there. I'm not sure I know what you mean by a painted composite. Was the whole piece done in PS?

I like the way you've used different textures for each area. The light coming in the window makes me thing she's waiting for her groom and looking forward to a wonderful life ahead.

The mist really adds to the mood in this piece. I like the use of sun and shadow as well.

Very interesting technique, she looks real I think a bit more mist to be ghostly :)

Marilyn, yes the entire piece was done in Photoshop. A painted composite uses photographs, or parts of them in this case, as a base. Then the composite photo is 'painted' over with brushes. It is loads of fun!
