Harlequin in Picasso colors

The picture I chose for color was Picassos jester and young Harlequine. I thought it was an interesting balance of colors not often seen used by modern day artists. I took the harlequin pattern for my piece and made a table cover for my Kitchen table attempting to maintain the color balance in the painting. I haven't quilted it yet but will this week. Thank you ahead for any comments or crititiques.

Great use of the colors in the painting and then to play double duty as a table runner. As lovely as this is I'd be tempted to hang it on my wall above the table rather than on it. I think it's an eye-catching piece. Will you leave the points all around or cut them off even?

Pat, this is really interesting. I like the reference to the Harlequin costume. I think it must be the darker blues and greens that move your eye round the piece, and perhaps the diamonds with blue and green. Nice mixture of hues and values. The original painting seems to have not much green but a more ochre yellow, but that might just be the computer screen effect. Is the background fabric one you dyed yourself? Nice work.

Great reference to the Harlequin costume and good mix of colors. Very effective piece which looks extremely labor intensive. Should look fabulous on your table.
