The white areas look somewhat coccoon-like...or similar to folding the edges a soft pod open. The stitching on them is lovely as well!<BR/><BR/>The top right and left side grids look like foiled fabric that has been stitched. It was tricky sewing close to the beads, but not hitting any of them with the needle.
