The shading looks more purple on the picture than it does in real life. Of course, that might be a function of me working on it at 4:00 in the morning, too.

I love the piece's sense of movement and the lively swirls you used in the dress. The chili pepper fabric is fun! I have a small collection myself of chili pepper fabric (haven't figured out how to use them yet).
I'm wondering how you're finishing it: are there borders, binding or some other edge treatment?

Right now, there is no edge treatment because I'm considering adding black borders left and bottom. If it turns out that isn't what I want it will be narrow black binding most likely or simply faced. I have a very strong sense of the music and a fais do-do in my head and I'm trying to be very careful to convey that. I think the two black borders will do that well, I just have to add them once I'm committed to it.
This is such a fun piece Delta. I don't know that song, but am certain I am hearing the music looking at your dancer.(smile)
