Challenge 51 - Hip to be Square

My piece Hip to be Square measures 18 x 18 inches. It has the rainbow dancing squares on a black and white checkerboard. Not too much to say about but it is squares within squares within a square.

  3. I am a big fan of black and white, so this piece really speaks to me. You met the challenge in all ways! The color on the black and white really pops along with the different orientation of the squares.

  4. Great color placement and I love color on black and white! The randomness of the inner block placement gives this quilt a lot of movement... way to go!

  5. Lisa, you must have a large stash to get all this variety in each of the color families. The quilt is really fun and a good example of color wheel relationships.

  7. The use of so many different black and white patterns give the quilt a great deal of energy. I also like the different shades in the smaller squares. The quiting corresponds to the structure very well.

  8. Lisa, this is great.. reminds me of Yvonne Porcella or Freddie Moran... I must agree with everyone else... but I am wondering if tried the colored squares in a diagonal formation? You probably did...
