Challenge 55 "Dancing with the Stars, Pam Clark
I made this piece this afternoon. It's based on a Clip Art. It's machine appliqued. It measures 11.5" x 13". I like how it turned out. My favorite TV show is "Dancing with the Stars", so that's what I titled it.
Love the center portion and the star motif! What great movement your "dancers" have. You sort of feel like you want to move just like them!
I'm wondering though, what happens if you use a darker border? I sort of feel like it fades out....and could stand a little more punch like you've got in the middle. Lisa Quintana
A great sense of movement and fun in this piece. I agree with the other comment that a darker and perhaps smaller border would set the piece off more. Love the way you fractured the colors, and carried through the star theme with arms and legs, ribbon, etc.
This is so great! Apt title for a piece where the dancer's arms & legs form a star shape.

ReplyDeleteNice piece. You did a great job. I really like the shape of the bodies:)
ReplyDeleteThis truly does represent the show, however a lovely flowing dress might have added to it??? I really like it.
