Here it is.
Techniques used: photo transfer, raw edge applique, machine blanket stitch, machine embroidery, and free motion machine quilting.
Size 19-1/4" x 18-1/2"
My first idea was a land scape but when I found the fabric with the big kitties everything changed.
It looks more like it should have been done for #6-monochromatic.
Hi Betty - This is a very charming piece. The size of the cats in proportion to the fireplace really works. The cats really stand out.
ReplyDeleteOne thought - I know your background is a photo on fabric. I wonder if the fireplace would pop out a bit more if you quilted some of the grout lines in a dark thread or even made some marks with a dark Pigma pen. The background seems a bit muted - as if it was far away from the cats instead of just across the room.

Big Kitty....... my daughter would love this one!!
ReplyDeleteI think along the same lines as Robera, the background is a little too soft, need a bit of definition and the idea of grouting and outlining the fireplace would probably be all it needs, keeping the cats in the fore and focal.

Betty, i like what you have done with this challenge. I feel as if i am looking through a window.
ReplyDeleteI too feel that perhaps the background needs a little more definition.
Love the clock on the wall.
