OK - so it took a little bit - but I think you'll understand.
My piece is Seattle Moonlight - I had to do the Space Needle with a full moon. The final piece measures 8 1/2 x 13 1/2 - it is not intended to be an exact skyline - the windows are beaded.

Hi Lisa......that beading sure makes the quilt.......and the full moon of course. It's great!
ReplyDeleteVery Nice!! Great sky and the beads make the quilt.

WAY cool! Love the detail.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, what a clever take on the challenge with your "space" needle. The glowing moon against your trademark pieced background is dramatic and the beading reflects the light so well, it also adds graphic appeal. Great job!

Oh, I can see me in that city, looking at the skyline after attending a Mariner's game.
ReplyDeletewhat a great way to interpret the theme! I love the cityscape at night- especially the way that the beads are the windows! They add so much texture. I also love your choices for the sky - just a great piece!
ReplyDeleteYour piece makes me wonder what's going on in all the buildings! I want to see into those windows. I really like your work here.

Thanks for a fun piece. What a great idea to use beads for the windows. I want to be at the top of the Space Needle looking a that moon.
ReplyDeleteNice work! Love the contrast you created and the use of the beads.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. I can't imagine getting all that beadwork done! I really like the movement in the sky. How did you do that?
