To me, as I recall my trip to Ireland I remember green, green, green, rain, rain, rain and celtic ruins. So I chose a green background with a celtic knot butterfly and triskel designs on the border as quilting. This is a small quilt l8x20". Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

This is lovely, Pat. I first thought of the warmth of a fireplace when I saw your quilt - the celtic work reminds me of a grill in front of the logs. it has a very inviting feel.

Great use of the triskel in the border quilting and the original celtic knot butterfly. Makes me want to see the green fields and ruins. However, I can do without all the rain.
ReplyDeleteA very inviting piece. It does look like a fireplace.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
I got fireplace as well! It's great to see Celtic Knotwork used in new ways.
ReplyDeletePat, What a unique idea, using celtic knotting to create the butterfly. And what a job doing all those triskels in the border. Very Irish, indeed. Sandi Cannarella
