Flowing Summer Flowers

This is a Nuno Felted Scarf - Flowing Summer Flowers
I used a silk blend fabric with hand dyed alpaca roving and curls. The fabric has green and blue tones it is pretty sheer and reflects the colors of the roving .. One of my favorite things are summer flowers!

  1. Lovely, interesting piece. I'm assuming it's now a wall hanging and no longer a scarf? Either way I like the color and the way the light flows through.

  5. It looks lovely, though I would like to see a better photo with more even lighting. Is the orange flower part of the scarf?

  6. Tobi - The flowers, stems and all the orange including the fringe is Alpaca roving that was felted to the fabric. It is called Nuno Felting a technique which bonds loose fiber into a sheer fabric. It is a fun
