My son lives in the high desert of Utah. He took a photo on his way home from work and sent it to me to use for this dramatic sky. The roads there are really this deserted alot of the time.This measures 30x23. The sky is painted, overlayed with an orange sheer and quilted. The rest is pieced and quilted. It was a good lesson on perspective s well as weather. Thanks Tobi.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Great skies are not all that easy to do, but yours is wonderful! Of course I love the landscape and perspective since those are a few of my favorite things. :^)
ReplyDeleteI hate to bring up a small point about perspective, but the lines on the road should get smaller as they go into the distance.
I like your use of color, a predominately complementary color scheme with the bright sky colors carried into the lines on the road. Well done!
