A Coven of Coffee
Finding a picture of a coffee cup made of beans made me think of a coven of coffee. It is all raw edge applique , shadowed with shiva paint sticks and touched up with puffy paint. The cauldron is beaded lace. It measures 29 x33".
Pat, your quilt is wonderful. The tye-dye background contributes to the movement of your composition, and the flames provide a much-needed focal point. Could you pour me a cup, please!
Your initial e-mail about 13 cups in a coven of coffee seems to anticipate the coming year's theme! The colors of the cups fit in well with the background, which itself draws focus to the cauldron. Lucky finds, or a good eye for combining these elements!
Hi Pat! I like your quilt, it's a sort of peek in the cove of a coffe witch :)
ReplyDeleteThe dancing cups give to the piece a great motion!
