Haiku, Challenge #50

My Haiku was written by Maya Lyubenoua
Flight School
pushing the fledglings
out of the nest

Certainly late getting this done but Kathy it was lots
of fun.  The bird is machine embroidered, the green
leaves and tree branch are raw edge applique.

Very nice Jeanne. Great background quilting. I would like to see a fledgling in flight?
Good job.

A very sweet poem and a sweet quilt. I like the machine quilted leaves. The green leaves give us some strong contrast as do the details of the tree.

I'd have liked a bit more substance to the limbs so that the fledgling isn't floating quite so much in space at first glance. Or maybe it's the disadvantage of only seeing it in a photo.

If you cover the top of the quilt a bit, the bird moves closer to the "sweet spot."
