Flower

Not much to say about this. Probably the easiest one I have ever done.

I used the applibond method for the flower and the leaves are from a silk flower bouquet.

Nice effort, Betty. Very pleasing split complementary color palette. You have used high contrast between the center of the flower, the petals and the background. The mid-range green softens the effect. I find myself wondering what might happen if the very light value of the center reached out into the petal as thread painting, or perhaps if the flower were off-center?

Nice work Betty. I too think some light stitching from the center might bring it to life???

Dare I suggest metallic threads for the thread painting? ;o)
The flower is such a pretty shape and color, I wish you had considered cutting leaves from fabric instead of using silk leaves - they just seem like they are applied and not integrated into the design.
