This challenge is truly right up my alley! The circles are part of my series-Shapes.
The "bubbles are all sheer overlay to create transparency and interplay of colors mixing.
I think it could be considered 'low horizontal' in the background. The background is all dupioni silk.
I LOVE this kind of work...thanks Sandy for a fun challenge!

Hi Cherie, this piece really gives the feel of lighter than air! It is interesting that some of your circles actually seem to glow as well as float. Beautiful colors and excellent job on this challenge
Hi Cherie, This is subtle and pretty. It feels like the bubbles are coming off the surface..very cool optical illusion. The area that is most interesting to me is the around the small circles in the upper right. I think it might be interesting to have one or two more clusters of the small circles.

I really like the way you took a challenge that could have been very realistic and gave it an abstract look.
In a way, you not only have the lower horizon, but the bubbles form their own line, so it could possibly be horizontal layers.
I like the way the overlapping circles create their own colours. Isn't it an interesting concept to explore?
I think I like the small circle collection! It actually works very well to give a focus and a place to take your eye. Perhaps one or two other small ones could be placed in one or two places to look as though they too are working their way to the top of the pile. what do you think it would look like if they were placed in such a way as tolead your eye...maybe from the bottom left to the top right.
I do like the echo quilting. I think it really adds visual shape to the circles.
