Here's my challenge #39 piece. It's inspired by a 500 x microscopic view of a cross section of a leaf showing all the cell structure. Made with hand dyed fabrics with painted highlights after it was quilted. Comments welcome!

Hi Cynthia, I was wondering where you were! Your Microscopic Leaf is very stunning, I love the irregular edge and all those cells. The black background adds to the depth of this piece as does the contrasting edges of some of the cells. As always your quilting adds the finishing touch you give your work. Wonderful Work!
Oh, I like this. I don't think I will get one done as I have the 12 X 12 challenge due.
I love the wonderfully organic flow of your shapes and quilting. Terrific analogous color scheme as well.
What size is it?
As usual, a winner! :-)

Love the irregular cells! I think the paint after the quilting really adds to the dimension.
Great work.
