When I am falling asleep and fall it is a gentle slow descent. It feels like a leaf falling from a tree. This tree is all thread painted. The first border is hand dyed.

Beautiful. I especially like the 3D leaf.
A wonderful job of thread-painting the tree -- on first glance I assumed they were either painted or applique. I like how the outer border picks up on the center yellow and green shades.
Wow I wish I could thread-paint like you did! I like your colour choice and the meaning of the quilt but the most intriguing detail is the 3D leaf. It really adds interest and attract attention!
