Rusted Love

I used stamping, stenciling, foiling, embroidery stitches and free motion quilting to create texture on this piece of green rusted fabric. I believe the green, rust and small bit of mauve equal the triadic color scheme of this challenge.
It is only a small piece 7.25 x 7.00 but it is all I had time for.

Hi Carole, wow, you sound busy and yet you had time to do a piece and experiment with some new techniques. Lots of texture and interesting surface design....but it's missing something as a completed piece, but would make beautiful ATC's if you were in the chopping mood!
Hope your show goes well...enjoy the limelight!

This little quilt looks like it was so fun to do. Ilove the combination of rust and gold foil...very rich

This is fun to look at. I think you must have had fun doing the quilting. The foil is very effective.

Very nice Carole. I enlarged the picture and like the background fabric. What a fun piece. You achieved the triad, the gold leafing and quilting add lovely texture to it, it's just lovely.

I like this. There are so many surprises. I especially like discovering the hand stitching.

Carole, the more I look at this piece the more I see, and the more I like it. (I just can't seem to get enough of the rusted fabric and enjoy making it too). The foiling brings added texture and interest to the piece - very nice. Wonder if a little more of the stamping would make it feel more complete.
