Deco Batik

Since in these days I'm playing with flour paste resist batik, I've decided to do an Art Deco batik piece. :)
It still needs quilting, but I'd love to hear from you what do you think about colors and composition.
I'm trying to improve my color use and composition skills so every hint and comment will be really appreciate :)
With this piece I wanted to give a sort of "flowing" feeling, from up to bottom.

It is small, just 23"x7"

Thank you.

I think it's a nice composition, I get the sense that the round balls are rolling or dropping down between the tall pieces. It might just be me, but I don't think I like the pink and aqua slash going to the edges, it seems to interrupt the composition too much. What do you think? I really like the color choices and balance. I'd like to try that technique sometime too. Nice piece!

I love your composition and feel the colors are spot on. It reminds me of s ball dropping machine at the Tech museum here in San Jose. I'm anxious to see it quilted.

Fascinating design Silvia. Did you use flour resist just to outline the blocks of color? Nice effect. I too look forward to seeing it quilted

I think that you achieved the art deco style very well with your piece. The choice of colors is nice and the placement of the various elements guides me through. I also kind of like the diagonal strip which cuts all the way through, it lets my eye rest before proceeding to the bottom of the piece and to me is a focal point. Nice job!
