Hi Carol, this is an excellent use of darks and lights...love the high contrast of the dark buildings against the light sky...very dramatic. The use of the brighter, less dark in foreground and gradating to dark dark is very effective for showing the perspective. I love the mood of this piece...it feels exciting...like I'm taking ferry across the bay to see the sights of the big city. Good job...I wouldn't change a thing. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Carol - You have done a great job creating depth through your use of color and the size of the buildings in the background. Good stuff!

I love your piece. The sparkle in the water and the pinpoints of light on the building make it very real. The dramatic use of colour is very effective. Well done!
Very dramatic. How did you achieve the pinpoints of light? Is it stitching or paint?
Kathy
Yeah...what they said! Very nice piece. It is difficult to show perspective like this in a night scene and you did it well.
