Thank you for the advice on my last piece. I am planning on working with it but not right now - it has been set aside.
After the "disaster" I took did a google search on bent trees - saw a photo of a lady in in the tree - kind of a goddess like - hum - yoga - tree pose.
So I'm much happier with this piece - it done with blue green - red and orange. I like it a lot - I'd bet there is a series in yoga poses.
Final size 6 1/2 x 13 1/2 - curved pieced - with turquoise yarn couched.

Lisa, how on earth do you work with such tiny pieces!?! I like your pieced background and your tree pose. I'm sure there is a series in yoga poses, too!
I would have difficulty working this small, but you have succeeded!
It is a great composition, the flow of the background and the movement in the 'tree' is interesting. And yes I'm sure there is a series in yoga poses, can't wait to see what else you do.
Hi Lisa, I really like this! You managed the S curve in your tree series very creatively. The wonderful pieced background sets off the figure nicely. And the off-center placement of the figure is so much more interesting and balanced than centered.
Great job!
Cynthia
Beautiful 'little' piece! The background sky warms up the piece while your yoga dancer in the shade cools it down.
Lisa, this is really a magnificent piece,it is so simply done, yet looks so very intricate! A beautiful pose.... I know my Yoga Teacher daughter would love, love, love this!!
I am glad you are happier, it is a delight to look at.
Your pieced background is an inspiration as well.
Well done!
Carole
Love this piece, love yoga. It reminds me of my piece for our self portrait challenge way back when....
Great compositon and color....
Lisa, it looks like you are on to a new series with this one. What a great transition from trees to yoga positions. The background in this piece is outstanding, and the color of the little yoga figure really stands out on it. Super Job!
I love this piece. You accomplished so much in such a small space. Great job!
