Here is my Sea Dragon. I really enjoyed this challenge. Though clearly, I have not learned how to create a quilt in a week, much less a month...but I am still trying...LOL. Maybe I need to think of the challenges as "exercises" instead of a call to create another wall quilt...
This quilt has hand beading and netting in addition to the batik and cotton fabrics.

What a wonderful creature, and beautiful work!!!
This is really lovely Donna! Well worth the extra time I think :-) What are the dimensions? You have created a lot of graceful motion both in your design and the quilting. I love it

Donna, your sea dragon and mermaids are breathtaking! What a beautiful piece, sure to win some awards in the future. Sometimes these FFFC challenges spawn an inspired quilt as opposed to an exercise. That's part of what makes this group so valuable. Fantastic work!
What a great piece. I love your sea dragon and mermaids. You've really captured something there.
Hi Thank you all for the kind comments...Sea Dragon is 17" by 26" inches long. I was happy to learn other ways to finish a quilt than just the standard binding I had used in the past. These challenges are a great creative stimulus. Donna from Sea Ranch
Donna, I have tried several times to leave a comment... here goes again. I love, love, love the colors in this! The irregular bottom edge is terrific and suits the overall and in fact adds to the feel. I am really glad we got to see this.
