When I read about this challenge, I had just returned from an Adirondack vacation. For me, solitude is peaceful, calm and comfortable. The "abstract" portion of this challenge was really hard for me. This piece is 25" x 15".

2. Explain what the piece communicates to you.
3. Give a 'what if' statement(What if you had used blue instead of red?)

What a great way to remember your traveling journey! Very nice
You've dome a fine job with your abstraction, and the chair really evokes a solitary mood. My only suggestion for future quilts would be to change up your values to add more depth to the image - darken the foreground and lighten the background.
I agree with Ann but I must say the more monotone look does say solitude. I like it.

Very nice quilting and a good reminder of a great trip. Very peaceful piece.
There is something very soothing and warm emanating from the soft colors and swirling quilting in this piece. Well done!
