2. Explain what the piece communicates to you.
3. Give a 'what if' statement(What if you had used blue instead of red?)

Michelle - I really like the simplicity of this piece. It flows very well and the blue-green leaves and stem add just the right amount of color.
Hi Michelle and thank you for posting even tho' you weren't quite done.
The photo does look fuzzy, like it has been 'felted'.... The 3D leaves, are they faced?
The warm glow is very comforting.
Well done and I, too, look forward to seeing the finished piece.
I will be interested to see what embellishments you add. I love your colors and can picture all kinds of approaches for finishing...

Make sure you add re-post when your done with it. This color combination is really nice - I think I'll have to do this one soon.
Hi Michelle, Beautiful colors and design...very well done! My only comment is that I want to mess up it's hair. Meaning all the leaves are perfectly placed...what would it look like with a couple maverick leaves?
Beading will be nice on this, too
Welcome to the group!

Hi Michele,
Simple is good! Especially given our limited working time.
Hope you keep at it. I would like to see your finished piece.
Hi Michele - You have got off to a great start - I can tell that we're all interested in seeing where it goes from here. I find your combination of colors/fabrics very attractive.
I agree with Cynthia that a little "hair messing" would add a bit more zip. All of the leaves are evenly placed and aiming in the same direction. A bit more disorder might give the piece more vitality.
I look forward to seeing it after you add lines of quilting and any embellishment you want.
Welcome to Fast Friday. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.
