I decided to do a representative oragami type landscape. The different fabrics are sewn together then pleated. TheDunes /rocks are tucked in the pleats and stiched. The final measurments are 19x14 1/2. It was fun and easy and just right for this very busy month.

The pleating and the dunes are a great use of manipulation. The fabric choices just glow. I wonder about removing the dark blue strip at the top.

I agree with all of the above. What if you took a piece of green with some leaves in it that you could cut around and place over the blue and drop down some over the top of the folds to tie it all together?
Love the way you used the tucks, and the simplicity of this piece.

Hi Pat, It has a calm, timeless feel to the piece...I really like how you handled the bottom and side borders. Be sure to post again if you decide to replace the top border

The pleats are very pretty - I do agree the blue on top is jarring - a lighter shed may work well. Even the same border as the sides would be very effective.
Pat, this is warm and inviting, and also gives a peaceful feeling. Kind of "zen" like similar to a Japaning rock garden. Good work!
I love the simplicity of this piece, yet it really gets the message across. Nice use of pleating.
