Non-Focus Piece by Cay Denise
This is a fabric and embellishment collage with no specific area of focus. In looking at it myself, I observe my eye move around the piece locating the various round areas but beyond that they don't seem to rest on any particular location in the piece. Does this meet the challenge?

This is interesting Cay Denise.
I like the collage effect [someda I will do this technique],and I see you had the same concerns I did.
Maybe it is my computer, but the blue 'hat' is what I see....
Anybody else?
I like that you used the complimentary colors. It is a nice piece, what size is it?

A blue hat? Are you looking at it from further away in order to see that type of shape?
The piece is 16"(wide)x15"(high).
I can't see the blue hat? But ah yes, more is certainly more :-) I like it a lot, Cay! The eye really travels, always something new to see, and the colors are great!

I want this on my wall :-)Beautiful!
Hi Cay Denise,
I think you have definitely met the challenge! Very nice piece; lots of visual interest and movement. I absolutely love the contrasting turquoise blue; seems very tropical to me. (I don't see a "hat" but I do see the letter "A"). Great job!

Cay Denise,
this is a wonderful example of More is More. The piece bewitches the viewer into seeing all manner of things, and the complimentary color scheme is so pleasing. One's imagination can make out all kinds of items - thats whats so great about abstract compositions - they open the door to a world of possibilities. I want this for my wall too! Joni
I like this very much, the balance of cool and rich, warm colors, the variety of shapes and angles...
Gorgeous piece. I too see the blue hat, but it doesn't act like a focus my eyes still move around the piece.
I see the blue hat too! Sort of reminded me of the Sorting Hat (any other Harry Potter fans out there?)... way fun!
Hi Cay Denise, well I see a sail boat so there! This is such a successful piece...wonderful! It's vibrant, full of motion and interest and variety. I wouldn't change a thing except for it's address!
