My quilt Square Deal was made for a class I am taking with Jude Hill. Tyhe quilt is woven, and 2 areas have smaller squares woven into the base. I'm probably fudging a bit, as some of my squares are rectangles, but--isn't a square a rectangle? Rosemary in St Louis

I love the frayed edges of the weaving, very textural. Adding the smaller weaving pieces adds interest for the eye. I would like to see a little more of a color pop, but I am sure that is just a personal bias.
I like your use of plaids and checks to further enhance the 'squareness' of this quilt. definitely fulfills the challenge

Rosemary... weaving is a great way to fulfill the challenge... great way to interpret it! I too would have liked to see more color to accent the shapes... Nice work...

The colors in this are so serene. I have done some of this weaving for a background for challenge #32 and found it quite intersting. Very nice.

Lots of squares. The plaid works really well for even more scale of squares. Has this been quilted? What is the size?
My sister would go crazy over this. She loves plaids.

The piece is 14X16. I won't put any batting in it. I will probably combine it with other pieces, and use embroidery floss to stitch parallel lines across and down on the piece. Rosemary in St. Louis
I like the weaving and the use of different plaids. I'd love to see it when the quilting is done.
Yes... I see Jude in this... I can't wait until you do some red floss stitching in large x's or whatever your stitch will be... I hope we will get to see this when you have 'finished' with it, be it the stitching or inclusion in another work.
Nice job, Rosemary. It has a Gee's bend feel to it..sort of rustic but artsy. The checkerboard pieces are just perfect
