How cute is that? Design-wise, I love the curve formed by the radish and the echoing of a hint of red in the background.
I love the placement of the mouse and the use of the quiet background in contrast with the leaves. The Root on the radish - plus its great color - carries the eye down. Great job@
Love the surprise of seeing the mouse when first looking at the radish......lots of texture too.
Love this woodcut. Beautiful choice of fabrics in the leaves. I also like the choice of quilting color and stitches.Very effective.
Great little piece! I echo all of the above. The fabric for the mouse is perfect in that it offers shadows in just the right places. This would look so cute hanging in a nursery or child's room.
Love love love the radish..... such elegance in a simple object. (and I'm rodent phobic, so nuff said!)
The texture in this piece is great - you can see it even without enlarging the picture. It's also a good composition.
I also echo all the above...and add I love your binding! The perfect frame for this adorable piece.

I love the texture and the composition here. Lots of dimension and a real sweet feeling to the image. This is probably just my preference for things that go out of the frame, but I wonder what would happen if you cropped it a little tighter, making it maybe an 8 x 9.5" quilt instead of 10x11. There just seems to be a bit too much room here for me around the mouse, so he gets a little lost in space. Beautiful image and lovely texture.
Wow, another stunning piece. The radish is so three dimensional as is the mouse. The wonderful quilting really makes them stand out.

Hi Cynthia - This is such a charmer. I was quite taken by the radish before I even saw the mouse. I love his wee pink ears and nose. And the radish roots add just the right touch. It is such a pleasing composition.
Cynthia, another beautiful quilt! I love the way the background is quilted and the way the subtle colors of it add interest and depth. Your choice of fabric for this piece is excellent. Great job!

This is darling. I love the colors, fabric choice and the actual picture of the mouse and the radish. However, I have to confess that I'm going to present a slightly different perspective. There's no doubt that your quilting is amazing, but the stitching in the background has such a strong, close pattern compared to the looser, more organic feel of the applique that I find it a bit distracting. I think I would have preferred a more open design in the background to compliment the simpler composition. Just a thought....
